Purchased by the Stollers in 1993, Stoller Imports served the parent company well with direct imports from countries all over the world. Now doing business in over 40 states, our brands are being sold by the biggest and best retailers and on-premise establishments across the USA. The Marsalle Company has since changed its name to Stoller Imports, to reflect the traditions of excellence within the family-owned company. It is our goal to provide unique and profitable brands to our distributor partners and Control State jurisdictions, with the highest ethical standards in the industry.
Their knowledge of the “street” aspect of the liquor industry has brought a unique perspective to Stoller’s management style. They still interact daily with customers, always monitoring the pulse of the industry. This enables quick responses to an ever-changing climate. They work closely with their suppliers and distributors to create dynamic long term directions.
Today there are only a few urban importers with active executive managers that have actually built and continue to build their own story.
The three Stoller brothers started working in their father’s trucking business as teenagers. They learned the liquor industry from the shipping and customer service aspect first. As an opportunity arose to enter the distribution side of the market, Randy started Stoller Wholesale Wine & Spirits while Jay and Larry supported the trucking company. As the business grew, each brother became an equitable part of the company to further help develop the enterprise.
Howard spent 10 years as General Sales Manager with the Stoller’s wholesale operation in Illinois, leading a sales and support team of over 100 people. Prior to his time with Stoller, he was Sales Manager at Judge & Dolph (Breakthru Beverage) and worked for the Wirtz family for 20 years. Now as National Sales Manager for Stoller Imports, Howard brings over 30 years of knowledgeable industry experience to our organization and to our wholesale partners.
Lawrence spent 13 years with Guarachi Wine Partners (formerly TGIC Importers) and became VP of the Western Division, leading a team of regional and area managers. In addition Lawrence managed and coordinated the company’s business in the Club Store Channel across the United States. Prior to his time with Guarachi, he was Sales Manager at Republic Beverage (formerly United Beverage Company) in Phoenix Arizona for 12 years. Lawrence began his career in the restaurant industry as a sommelier in Scottsdale Arizona and is certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers. Now as Western Regional Sales Manager for Stoller Imports, Lawrence’s training and experience will be a tremendous asset to his customers and wholesalers. Lawrence lives in Scottsdale with his wife Teresa and has two sons, Marshall and Hayden.
Nicki Stoller brings 8 years of sales and marketing experience to Stoller Imports. She got her start in the industry working on the marketing team at a winery in Canelli, Italy, and expanding their brand footprint in the United States. Upon graduating, she joined Pepsi Co. as part of their intensive sales management program. It was here she discovered her love of customer-facing roles. She then found herself working for a leading distributor in an off-premise role and was quickly promoted to an on-premise role in Philadelphia. During this time, her portfolio included craft distilleries and several large brands. Most recently, she ran sales at a distillery and had her hands in every part of the business, ranging from new flavor development to creating programs with distributors. She looks forward to working with different brands and creating plans to grow each one individually.
Doug Nangle brings to Stoller Imports over 40 years of experience in the alcohol beverage industry. Prior to joining Stoller Imports, he served as Assistant National Sales Director USA and Canada and Vice President of Pricing for Global Spirits USA, LLC. Prior, Doug worked for White Rock Distilleries as Southeast Regional Manager launching and working many popular brands such as Three Olives and Pinnacle Vodkas. As well, Doug owned and operated his own beer, wine, and liquor wholesale company in Massachusetts. Doug has the knowledge and experience of a Supplier Representative, Wholesale Owner, Broker/Importer, and Wholesaler Sales Representative. He will bring his vast experience to partner with his wholesalers to help grow their sales throughout his region.
Elizabeth brings 15 years in the Wine & Spirits Industry to Stoller Imports. Her career began in college as she attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign as an Economics Major. At the time, she had plans to be a New York City stockbroker or attorney, but when she was offered a marketing role for Bacardi before graduation, she never dreamt how much she would enjoy the wine and spirits industry and has loved her career since. She has brought lots of growth and success to the many notable brands under Bacardi, Constellation and Purity Vodkas’ portfolios with creative marketing and profitable programs. She has experience working for and with the top distributors and suppliers locally, regionally and nationally. She has visited over 100 wineries and distilleries throughout the country and world. She looks forward to supporting the success of Stoller Import and their loyal distributor partners.
